The Meta-owned WhatsApp is now introducing a feature that allows group managers to erase any message in the group, following the announcement that deleted messages may be recovered on its most recent beta for the iOS version.
According to WABetaInfo, the function has only been made available to a select group of lucky beta testers, therefore it will take some time for it to reach all other users.
The report stated, “More activations will be coming over the next few weeks, so please wait for a future update if you are a group admin and you cannot remove messages posted by other participants.”
The ability to finally properly monitor their WhatsApp groups makes it an important addition for group administrators, according to the research.
Additionally, all group members are able to see when a particular group admin has removed a message when it is erased for everyone in the group.
